Wow, that was a lot of snow. I’ve never seen the city like this before. Last night we were watching taxis sliding down 2nd Ave. Ricky, the snowman, took a few hours to make, but was well worth the time.

Well, there you have it: Julian Assange has been arrested in the UK. You knew this was coming, but it still speaks to the nature of our wonderful little system we have here that a man who had become the public face of an organization that passed along information that probably should never have been kept away from the citizens that information purports to serve was branded as some sort of chaotic evil malcontent hell-bent on, what, exactly? Causing destruction by exposing the truth? A nice lesson for the children out there: if you tell the truth, you will get nailed.

The last line is perfect.

55 years ago to the day, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus. I can’t believe that was only such a short time ago. The idea of segregation seems so insanely archaic, yet it was still practiced in my parent’s lifetime. That’s just crazy.

In honor of Ms. Parks, here’s the Outkast classic (which she, or should I say her family, sued the group over).
