This is from the beginning of October. I’ve been meaning to post it, but couldn’t get a cover done for it. The photo was taken today on a ride in Central Park. This is just a good weekend mix; pop it on while you’re running around the city and enjoy.

What a year. 2011 has brought a lot of change in my life, and it’s only July. New job; new people; pretty much starting over. With that, I’d like to share a mix I’ve been bumping for the last month or so. This is a short mix with all the tracks having a similar feel and flow, similar to Nights in NYC and Into the Dark. With the exception of the J.Cole lead in, you can zone out to this one, collect yourself and gather your thoughts; get some Fresh Air if you will.

In less than 12 hours, I’ll be on my way to California for my annual pilgrimage to Coachella. This is my fifth year attending the festival. Before I take off, I thought I’d leave you with a little something. Here’s a mix I’ve been bumping for the past week or so in preparation for the festivities. Every artists on the mix will be playing the show. While I don’t expect all of these specific songs to be performed, this mix will get you in the mood to party. Hope you enjoy.

Two mixes in one day? Why not? I made this right before New Year’s. Orginally made for a friend, it was a little too “pop” heavy for me so I went back and reworked it. Most of these tracks were intended for use on previous mixes, but ultimately were left off for some reason or another. After a few years you get a nice collection of leftovers, or as I’m calling this the B-Sides. Hope you enjoy.

For the past few months, I’ve been without a fully functioning computer. My PowerBook is mad old and begins to overheat after 15 minutes of doing anything. My iMac takes 45 minutes and numerous attempts to boot up. With these issues it became very difficult to download any new music to my harddrive and add to my iPod. However, with the help of Dropbox and Filer, I’ve been able to work around some of the issues of loading music. Hence, In The Cloud. I’ve been enjoying all these songs for the past few months soley through storing on Dropbox and playing in Filer. Now that I have my new Mac Mini, I’ve built a mix to share these tunes with you. And another one. Like Into The Dark, I made this a few years back as well. This is a mellow mix for when you’re going home alone from the bar, but don’t want to head into your apartment just yet. So fire this on as you get in your cab and let it play out as you take a walk around the block after you arrive home. Hope you enjoy.

I made this mix exactly two years ago. The market had crashed. My work at the time let go of a lot of our staff. 808s was the mood at the time. I’ve been planning on putting this out for some time, but never got a round to it (side note – it’s been awhile, but thanks to Nick for the cover). While this was created during a weird time, I still enjoy this mix. It’s good cold weather music.
